Biking on Emigration Canyon Road to Little Dell Reservoir

The little dell reservoir was way up the Emigration Canyon road to the east of where I lived. I was not very athletic and a biking trip to the reservoir was normally very hard for me. With an electric-assist bike, this challenge became very doable. My bike was very much on the budget side with limited range, so I had to pedal whenever I could, saving battery for the hardest parts. The map. In the last section, I biked west instead of east at the fork. I left my bike and walked around the marked location (red cross). My tiny electric bike. On my way Some people built their houses by the canyon road. The canyon as seen from the road. Biking uphill was hard. Having electric-assist made it much easier.  The Little Dell Reservoir. Biking on the City Creek canyon road

With a new electric bike, I was suddenly motivated to bike around the city. I "accidentally" biked to the beautiful city creek canyon. With proper pavement, it was a joy to bike through the canyon. The road went very high. Without the electric assist, a less-athletic person like me would not be able to climb up there. Because of the altitude, it was quite chill up at the top. It is April now and the snow has melted down the valley where we live, but as I biked up into the canyon, I started seeing snow - from a thin layer to a few inches thick. Truly interesting. Biking by the state capital. The road was built by a cliff. Going into  the canyon. Rich people build their houses by the canyon. The entrance. Vehicles are generally not allowed beyond this point.
